Due to a scheduled surgery, I likely won't be able to work on orders until the end of March. You may place orders until then, and I will fill them in the order received when I am able to sew again. Thanks.

About Us

Ever since I can remember, I have had a love affair with sewing and fabrics. I grew up in a time when knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, and embroidering were very much a part of every woman’s daily life and I couldn’t wait to make it a part of mine! My mother made her own clothes and many of mine as I grew up; my aunt always had something in her hand that she was working on; our dining room table and living room chairs were beautifully covered in handmade tablecloths and doilies; and I loved all of it. I still have many of the things my family members made and I treasure them.

As soon as I could, I took sewing in school, finally learning how to sew on an old treadle machine (I guess that pretty much tells you how old I am!). Was I ever proud when I finally got the zipper in right in a pair of plaid slacks I made for a class project. Never mind that the plaid didn’t exactly match up – I made it and the zipper really worked!

When my children were small, I made almost all their clothes; I also taught myself how to knit and crochet.  It seems I enjoyed keeping my hands busy, and I still remember the look on my daughter’s face when I put the finishing touches on a new outfit for her. It was a sad day for me when my two year old son decided he liked jeans better than the little romper suits I made him!

I put my sewing aside for many years to work and raise my children. When I retired from work sixteen years ago, my old love of sewing returned when I moved to a small town in California and went to my first quilting class. I was hooked from that moment on.

Two years ago I took a class on fabric handbags and completely fell in love with the whole process. My passion evolved to include not only handbags, but also ladies laundry bags, little ladies bags and totes, market totes, shopping bags, aprons, and specialty items for holidays. I create each item myself, using no patterns but placing fabrics together until I get a finished product that I’m completely satisfied with.

With a tremendous amount of encouragement and help from my daughter, I am now so excited to offer some of my products to you on this website.

Who knows what I’ll think of tomorrow. I just hope you enjoy what you see today and that you come back many times.
